District helps fund Bloomington bioswale and raingardens

Posted: 10/01/16

In partnership with the city of Bloomington and Metro Blooms, the District this year helped fund Green Streets for Blue Waters, a project to help mitigate stormwater runoff into the Minnesota River. The project designed and funded a multi-acre bioswale between residences and a church, as well as 18 curb-cut raingardens. As a result of these efforts, stormwater runoff is being treated and infiltrated, and solids and phosphorus removed. Go to full article at Metro Blooms.
